General terms of use
Last updated: October 2026 · version 1.0
This English version is a translation. If it differs from the French version, the French version prevails. Read the French version.
These terms apply to ReSomnia (resomnia.app): the patient app and the clinician area. By using the service, you accept them.
1. Purpose
ReSomnia provides:
- for patients, a sleep tracking app (diary, questionnaires, 6-week CBT-I programme, exercises) and secure sharing with their clinician;
- for clinicians, a space to follow the data their patients choose to share with them and to communicate with those patients.
2. Service publisher
ADLX Studio, sole proprietorship of Andy Leleux, enterprise number (CBE) BE 0784.326.261, Belgium.
Contact: hello@resomnia.app.
3. Access
Access to the service is currently free of charge, with no commitment or subscription, and no bank details are requested. The service evolves continuously. If paid options are introduced, they will be announced in advance and will remain optional.
4. Accounts
- The patient app requires a free account, created with an email address (passwordless sign-in link).
- The clinician area is reserved for healthcare professionals. Each clinician account is verified before activation.
- You undertake to provide accurate information and not to impersonate anyone else.
5. Regulatory status
ReSomnia is not a medical device. It is not intended for the diagnosis, prevention, monitoring, treatment or alleviation of a disease within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2017/745.
It is a therapy support tool, to be used alongside follow-up by a healthcare professional. It does not replace:
- a medical or psychological consultation;
- a diagnosis of a sleep disorder (chronic insomnia, sleep apnoea, narcolepsy, etc.);
- the prescribing of a medicine or the adjustment of one.
The reference points calculated by the app (sleep efficiency, sleep window) are based on the published CBT-I protocols (Spielman 1987, Morin 1993, Perlis 2005). They are suggestions to be confirmed with your clinician.
6. Patient's commitments
- Not to use the app in place of medical advice.
- To see a doctor in the event of serious symptoms: extreme daytime sleepiness, breathing pauses observed during sleep, severe depression, suicidal thoughts.
- Not to change or stop any current treatment on their own, in particular sleeping pills and anxiety medication.
- To fill in the diary honestly, so that the follow-up is useful.
7. Clinician's commitments
- To respect professional secrecy for all data shared by patients.
- Not to pass this data on to unauthorised third parties.
- To use the messaging function in line with professional ethics: no diagnosis or prescribing by message.
- To report any anomaly to hello@resomnia.app.
8. Sharing between patient and clinician
- Sharing is always decided by the patient, with a 6-digit code or an email invitation.
- The code is valid for 24 hours and can be cancelled before activation.
- The patient chooses what they share (diary, tests, thought journal; the latter is turned off by default).
- Sharing can be revoked at any time from the app: the clinician's access is cut off immediately.
9. Availability
The service is provided as is, with no guarantee of continuous availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates or incidents. We do what is necessary to limit their impact. Do not rely on the app alone for your medical follow-up.
10. Intellectual property
The code, content, design and the ReSomnia brand belong to the publisher. The clinical questionnaires (ISI, Epworth, PSQI, MEQ) remain the property of their authors and are used in accordance with their licences for clinical and academic use.
Your data remains yours. It is neither sold on nor exploited for commercial purposes.
11. Bugs and security
Found a bug or a security flaw? Write first to hello@resomnia.app, before any public disclosure. We respond within 5 working days.
12. Changes to these terms
Any significant change will be announced by email at least 30 days before it takes effect.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Belgian law. Failing an amicable agreement, any dispute falls within the jurisdiction of the competent Belgian courts.
